I was fortunate enough to have Mike and his wife Debbie Ganus visit the lofts in June of 2023. We talked about bringing in something special after he visited, and he went home and sent me a picture of this hen. I told him I do not care how she was bred, if he thought she was nice then I will take her. Boy did he pick a nice one! 'Surprise Me' is as nice as they come in the hands. Mike is one of the best in the sport for a reason, he can pick a good pigeon! 

Sire is 'Marple' who was 1st Place Victoria Falls by 54 minutes. All the best Romario lines, which is also behind the famous 'Thomas 6' who won Golden Algarve the year before. 

Dam is arguably one of his top 3 breeding hens, 'Halover' who was 1st Place SAMDPR Final Race. She has bred so many winners around the world in her time it is silly. She is a game changing hen for many lofts around the globe!

Dam is 'Maserati 1' an extremely special hen who was 1st Place Final Golden Algarve clocking at 2:30 in the morning winning by several hours! This hen goes back to the Thomas 6 family, with The King, Romario, and Josef.

For years, I asked Mike for something from Super Yearling.  I always wanted one from him because I knew how great he was when he was still in the Netherlands.  Finally this time, we made it happen and we got one to LandingStrip Loft

Sire is 'Super Yearling' who was 7th Dutch Yearling Olympiad 2016 and 8th Dutch Short Distance 2016, along with being a 1st Provincial winner against 9,118 pigeons. Now as a breeder, he is (g)father to 16 1st Place Winners and a provincial winner against 10,026 pigeons!! Super Yearling is a truly special breeding cock.
